.@Skype w/ my cousin in Italy about Habit 1 & being proactive. I'll be there soon & it will be a busy vacation helping with the fam. I choose to have a positive attitude about the situation so that I have a greater impact on my circle of influence #edl610 #ollin1 @domsmithRP pic.twitter.com/qZlmVTi2J9— Giulia Longo (@MsLongo123) May 22, 2018
Reflection: This habit really stuck with me. I feel that I am a very proactive
person. I can generally anticipate things before they happen. The other part of
this habit that I connected with was, “You choose whether you are happy and/or
positive.” I am a happy person by nature. Things may not be going great, but I
will always have a smile on. I also crave deadlines. I need that structure to
help me organize my day and what I am doing. By being proactive, I am choosing
how I respond in situations. I am preventing situations before they occur. I
choose to look on the positive side of things because if I only focus on the
negative, things will never get done. However, by focusing on the positive, I
am in charge of my own “can-do” attitude. I am not relying or waiting on anyone
else but myself. I am in control of the situation.
